Record Of Dis Week: Tozcos - Infernal 12"

So for Record of Disweek I was thinking I was going to go with The Chisel or the Groucho Marxist Records compilation both very fine records but released late last year I only got around to Tozcos - Infernal recently and it has been a record I just keep coming back to so I said I had to highlight it for this week, as it is the record of the week for me. Tozcos last release was their  With their last release way back in 2018  i guess they haven't been on my radar so I guess that's why I am late to the party on this. Coming from southern california citing local influences of TSOL and Adolescents there is UK82 undercurrent that creates an energy or electricity as maybe the cover alludes to that is just infectious.
Check out Tozcos - Infernal 12" now on the table get your copy or listen here.

NL #3: Record of The Week, Top of The Punks (Chart) and more

Uggghhh wanted to do this weekly but things get in the way and have been slowly doing this piece by piece but its probably slightly out of date. As any news in this might be something you might have heard two weeks ago so apologies but no harm checking it out in case you missed it. Out today is the new album of The Chisel - What A Fucking Nightmare LP there was a slight delay in shipping but copies are being delivered today so make sure you order yours as copies are getting low.

Record Of Dis Week: Night Fever - Dead End12"

Copenhagens Night Fever new LP out on Svart Records came out last week 2nd February mixing a blend of old school hardcore with heavy metal. I seen it described as NWOBHM meets intense K-Town hardcore with sharp clean vocals which makes them front and center that are carried on lots of guitar licks and solos  on some absolute furious hardcore makes the record unrelenting.  Think Poison Idea, Death Side and NWOBHM
This is hardcore rock n roll and 'Dead End' 12" is an absolute raging slab of wax.
Night Fever - Dead End LP is now on the table get your copy or listen here.

I have been trying to get in copies of SCOWL - HOW FLOWERS GROW for a while but kept missing it as it sold out that quickly finally have got copies for distro so make sure you get one if you had been asking for it previously. Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, hardcore band Scowl has burst onto the scene as one of the most authentic young voices in the genre, influenced by everything from '80s hardcore, punk, and oi, to modern, alternative pop. The band has made a name for themselves with songs that are as reflective and dark as they are fun.

Juanita y Los Feos are a band I love and always give me that pick up of energy melodic punk from Spain, sadly they are no longer on the go but members play in Miss España, Rata Negra
I love The Chisel - Retaliation LP and have been eagerly waiting the release of What A Fucking Nightmare which is out today and courier just dropped off the vinyl to me while writing this newsletter
The Menzingers are a band I have always enjoyed as one of those catchy punk rock bands in the lines of The Flatliners, Hot Water Music, Gaslight Anthem. Their new album came out recently on vinyl and follows up effortlessly on previous works.

NL #2: Record of The Week, Top of The Punks (Chart) and more

We have been working hard and are expecting lots of records in, in the coming couple of months as we try to create an all encompassing punk distro table like the one you find at the back of a gig but with something for everyone we are based in Ireland a punk scene that takes many shapes and forms the idea is to be an outlet to them all ambitious eh? but we are getting there I know we all have our individual tastes and this newsletter is to open your tastes to other aspects of punk. And I got this one done early on a Friday lets hope this continues once again let me know what else you want to see in this newsletter and I hope you find something you like in it.

Record Of Dis Week:Angel Du$t - Brand New Soul 12"

Angel Du$t are back with a new 12", this being their 5th album and with them on the go for over 10 years sometimes I can be very skeptical about new albums but having followed Angel Du$t over the years I have learned to not be skeptical of new material but to embrace it as their new record is not going to sound anything like their previous. All fine albums
I was chatting with Jesse of Mr. Face Records at the weekend and he summed A.D. up perfectly for me he said they are like Ceremony every album takes a different direction. So with Brand New Soul who knew where they were going to go, but I feel for me they pull all their previous directions on to the one record with Brand New Soul, with 'Born 2 Run' & 'I'm Not Ready' sounding like they could be on  'YAK: A Collection Of Truck Songs', 'Racecar' reminding me of 'Pretty Buff' and 'Space Jam', Slippin' Lysol  harking back to 'Rock The Fuck On Forever'. Brand New Soul sounds like what I would expect a greatest hits of Angel Du$t to sound like but if it was all new tracks as they seem to bridge between hardcore underground with something bigger and catchier.
ANGEL DU$T "BRAND NEW SOUL"12" is now on the table get your copy or listen here.

Latest Release from our imprint Distro-y Records is new 12" Potere Negativo - Benvenuto All'Inferno the from Milano and Valtellina (the mountain area north of Milano, nearby Switzerland) Italy bringing D-beat/Hardcore punk in the vein of 80/90's Italiano  mixed with a gentle Black Metal touch. Potere Negativo bring a huge yet raw driving D-beat hardcore that has a  sinister element with snarling vocals that summons up the idea that in essence Potere NEgativo can only be described as the sound an enormous door slamming in the depths of hell. THis is 10 tracks of Italian hardcore in the vein of Wrectched, Raw Power,  Indigesti on one side and the reverse a silk screen side.

Night Fever from Copenhagen new LP Dead End is available on Green vinyl and Black Vinyl out the 2nd February on Svart Records. Night Fever has been delivering their Danish brand of K-Town hardcore since 2007, with their mix of old school hardcore and heavy metal into a razor-sharp unit which will make your speakers bleed sweat! Dead End is undeniably the tightest and most furious Night Fever album yet.

      PRE-ORDER NIGHT FEVER - DEAD END 12"

NAUSEA are finally getting the reissue treatment starting with Cybergod/Lie Cycle 12"  we have copies on Red Vinyl a & Black Vinyl and I think one or two copies left on Clear with Black Smoke Vinyl available to pre-order with a release date set for end of March dont miss the coloured versions.
NYC crust punk band Nausea’s two legendary EP’s on one remastered 12” The Cybergod lineup might be the most legendary era of Nausea, where the tracks reach almost epic proportions. The EP is pretty much the blueprint of crust, where Vic Venom’s hypnotic and rocking guitar riffs meet the tribal drumming of Roy Mayorga. Al’s and Amy’s dueling vocals spit out timeless issues dealing with consumerism and the hypocrisies of organized religions. Musically, the Lie Cycle EP rocks out more in the faster and straightforward style, where Discharge meets Motörhead, and lyrics reflect the times when war and nuclear destruction are still the plague of mankind.

      PRE-ORDER NAUSEA - CYBERGOD / LIE CYCLE 12"

Also not going to mention anything above.

Hygiene -15 Minute City 7" has been an absolute earworm it has been swirling in my head for the last two weeks, just go listen to their track 'Petrol' and curse me later.
SIKM from Atlanta, Georgia demo cassette is one I keep going back think hard hitting Oi! similar to Rixe. It is coming out on cassette but I really hope it gets the vinyl treatment
Sheer Mag have a new LP coming out late April and as they release new tracks to it I have been loving them oh soo much.

The New Newsletter - Newsletter #1

The New Newsletter - Newsletter #1

The idea of Distro-y/ Distrotable is to facilitate punk for you whether it is to make music more widely available, bring information to you be it on gigs, bands whatever. We are a punk facilitor. With that in mind have decided to try change the format of the newsletters we send out to make it more substantial to give you a better look at records rather than a here is what has arrived into the distro. Will use weekly sections of news, record of the week, new on the table and charts to give you an insight on what people are into over the last week and what you should check out. I hope to produce this every Friday. Well that's the plan anyway.... I barely got this done.
Record News thank you for all the support in 2023 and in the first couple of weeks of '24 we have added a couple of pre-orders to start the year out highly anticipated release from The Chisel out February 9th on Pure Noise Records, 'What A Fucking Nightmare' we have UK edition on Beer & Bone vinyl (nearly sold out) and standard edition which is Milky Clear with Heavy Halloween Orange, Mint and Olive Splatter not Black as I had originally thought.

Pre-Order: The Chisel - What A Fucking Nightmare LP
      Pre-Order: NIGHTFEEDER "DISGUSTOR" EP
Record Of Dis Week: Bog People - S/T 12"

Iron Lung have rescued and reissued straight out of the Portland peat. '81 in 2010 and now in 2023! Back in 2010, Bog People were the band everyone was talking about. Speedy UK82 punk infused with heaps of chorus and fuzz with live shows that were psychotic and colorful fog machined melees. Word spread like wildfire. Having previously released a demo tape, they followed with a split 7" with Vivid Sekt who shared members if memory serves me right.
I have personally been waiting for this record for a number of years and had heard rumours a couple of times of it, its great to see this record re-emerge from the Bog which had preserved their material like a prehistoric body.
Bog People - S/T 12" is now on the table get your copy or listen here.
